Travel at your own pace

Each organized trip is defined by a distinct pace, determined by its intensity, activities, and travel arrangements. Discover the one that suits you best. 

Paces

The perfect choice if you like to travel at a leisurely pace, taking the time to soak up the energy of a place by strolling around or stopping at local cafés.  

Light-paced trips are characterized by:  

  • Lots of free time
  • Less frequent need to change accommodations
  • Small distances to cover
  • Activities that are not physically demanding
  • Activities requiring the ability to climb or descend 3 flights of stairs or walk for 60 minutes at a relaxed pace
  • On a cruise: Itinerary featuring relaxing days at sea

You enjoy travelling at a moderate pace. You have no issue walking 3 to 5 kilometres per day. You are comfortable on various types of terrain, such as paved streets or moderate hills, without assistance.  

Moderate-paced trips are characterized by: 

  • Some free time
  • Distances and activities requiring a certain level of physical fitness
  • Tours where some days may include hikes of 5 to 6 kilometres on more rugged terrain
  • On a cruise: Itinerary marked by closely spaced ports of call

You want to make the most of every visit, even if it involves standing for 2 to 3 hours or walking several kilometres over varying terrain. Expect busy days, balanced by a few moments of free time.  

Fast-paced trips are characterized by: 

  • Early morning departures and late arrivals at hotels
  • Frequent changes of accommodations
  • Good endurance required to enjoy the activities, lots of walking (more than 6km each day)
  • Rough or uneven terrain
  • Potential altitude
  • Ability to travel comfortably on various modes of transportation (tuk tuks, cable cars, zodiac boats)
  • On a cruise: Frequent ports of call and an intensive excursion program 

This pace is not suitable for travellers who require mobility assistance. 

You live each day to the fullest and are active at home, often clocking up more than 10,000 steps a day. Steep slopes and rough terrain are no match for you. Staying active just comes naturally to you.  

Very fast-paced trips are characterized by: 

  • Early morning departures and late arrivals at hotels
  • Frequent changes of accommodations
  • Excellent endurance required to enjoy the activities
  • Activities taking place in varying weather conditions and at varying altitudes

This pace is not suitable for travellers who require mobility assistance.
