Your questions about Roadside Assistance

No. A second tow for the same breakdown is not possible. The only way to increase your covered distance is to upgrade your membership. The CAA Premier card, in particular, entitles you to up to 320km of towing for one of the 4 annual services.

A membership in CAA-Quebec is personal. You must show your membership card and ID when the patroller arrives. However, you can add members to your file, such as your spouse or dependent children.

You can request a Roadside Assistance service 48 hours after joining. However, it is possible to get assistance earlier, but only if you have a breakdown in Quebec. In such cases, administrative fees will apply. In addition, the towing distance will be limited to 30 kilometres per added option if you request towing within the first 7 days of joining or upgrading to CAA Plus, CAA Premier, CAA Plus RV, and CAA Premier RV.

We can tow nearly 25 types of vehicle, from passenger cars to motorcycles, vans and bicycles, and even more for members with the RV option. Check out the full list of eligible vehicles. The vehicle must be registered, complete with all parts, and the parts must be in place.

If you are on board the vehicle, yes. CAA-Quebec membership covers the member, not the vehicle.

Your maximum towing distance is determined by your membership type. CAA Classic members are entitled to 5km of towing, while CAA Plus members are entitled to 160km of towing. CAA Premier membership covers 320km of towing for one of the four annual services, and a maximum of 160km for the other three.

Yes, you may be entitled to reimbursement, for instance if you have tried to reach us and our service was unavailable.

 No. The insurance products featured on our site are offered in Quebec by CAA-Quebec subsidiaries holding the required insurance regulatory authorizations (doing business under the name “CAA-Quebec Insurance”).

Our Mobility Advisory Services experts draw on a wide range of literature to give you a “list price,” that is, the fair price you should pay for a vehicle in good condition of the make and model you want. You can use it to decide whether to keep or sell a vehicle, or to negotiate a sale or purchase price. Available for cars, motorcycles, trucks, snowmobiles, ATVs, and other vehicles. No. A CAA-Quebec membership is personal and cannot be transferred. However, associated memberships are available for spouses and dependents living at the same address at a reduced rate.

Yes. Your CAA-Quebec membership entitles you to the services and benefits of affiliated CAA Clubs across the country and in the United States (with AAA). Therefore, you can expect the same emergency assistance whenever you cross the Quebec or Canadian border, and enjoy discounts. Services for bicycles, motorcycles, and tent trailers under 4.88m (16ft) are not available everywhere.

No, only residents of Quebec can join CAA-Quebec. However, by joining another CAA Club (such as CAA South Central Ontario), your coverage will also extend to Quebec.

Your questions about managing your membership

CAA-Quebec memberships are fully refundable within the first 30 days of enrollment or renewal. The refund amount will be calculated according to the annual membership fee, minus services rendered within the first 30 days. Get a refund by calling 1-800-686-9243.

As stipulated in the Member’s Handbook, by signing up for monthly payments, you undertake to make all 12 payments, failing which your access to services will be revoked and action may be taken.

Yes, and you can even add the RV option if you have a CAA Plus or CAA Premier card. However, please note that the number of free kilometres is limited to 30 per option added if towing occurs within the first 7 days of membership or upgrade. You can also add an additional member at any time. Learn more.

If your payment fails to go through, we’ll contact you, but this could result in a delay and you could even find yourself without coverage. Need to change your card, or is yours about to expire? Go to your Online Account to update your payment details.

Some partners accept the virtual card, but we recommend that you always carry your physical card with you. Some of our partners may ask for your physical card for technical reasons or to prevent fraud.

Your questions about the Rabais Dollars CAA rewards program

The Rabais Dollars CAA program is a rewards program offered by CAA-Quebec exclusively to members in good standing. The program provides a number of advantages at CAA-Quebec and many of its partners. It has two components:

  • The discount component, wich provides instant discounts and other rewards from CAA-Quebec and participating partners, both in stores and online 

  • The CAA Dollars back component, wich allows members to earn CAA Dollars at CAA-Quebec and participating partners, both in stores and online 

Note that some participating partners may offer both an instant discount and CAA Dollars Back.  For detailed information of promotional offers, see the Rabais Dollars CAA section. Promotional offers may be modified periodically. 

The program is one of the rewards of being a CAA-Quebec member. If your membership is in good standing, you are automatically enrolled in the Rabais Dollars CAA program. So all you have to do is become a CAA-Quebec Member.

Participation in the Rabais Dollars CAA program is free to members as long as they pay their CAA-Quebec membership fees. It is one of the many rewards you receive with your membership.

Each CAA Dollar is equivalent to $1 Canadian.
