Day 1Montreal – Basel-Mulhouse

Flight to Basel-Mulhouse.

Day 2Basel-Mulhouse – Colmar (60km)

Arrive at the airport. Transfer to Colmar and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, take a guided walking tour of the town followed by a sightseeing cruise to appreciate the wine capital of Alsace from a unique perspective. Welcome dinner. Mercure Colmar Centre Unterlinden Hotel 4* (D)

Day 3Colmar

Start the day with a guided tour of the Unterlinden Museum. After a coffee break with a tasting of Alsatian streusel, enjoy the rest of the day to see the covered market or explore the town at your own pace. (B)

Day 4Colmar – Turckheim – Lapoutroie – Muhlbach-sur-Munster – Gunsbach – Gérardmer – Colmar (113km)

Head to Turckheim, a picturesque medieval village. Next, visit to the Brasserie du Pays Welche. Enjoy a typical lunch at a farmhouse inn. Continue on to Gérardmer to admire the views across the Upper Vosges, followed by a guided tour and tasting at an artisanal confectionery. Stop at a craft brewery to sample some of its creations. Day 5 Colmar – Kaysersberg – Riquewihr – Orschwiller – Strasbourg (101km)

In the morning, go on guided tour of Kaysersberg and Riquewihr, villages with quaint and colourful half-timbered houses along the Alsace wine route. Visit an estate and taste local wines. Day 6Strasbourg

Tour the city by tour bus and on foot, with stops at the European district and Notre-Dame Cathedral, recognized as a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and famous for its medieval astronomical clock. Day 7Strasbourg – Nancy – Metz (224km)

Travel to Nancy for a guided walking tour of the city’s foodie highlights. See Place Stanislas, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Day 8 Metz – Verdun (81km)
