Itinerary
- Day 1: Ajaccio
Airport pickup and transfer to hotel. Castel Vecchio Hotel Ajaccio 3* or similar
- Day 2: Ajaccio – Piana – Porto (80km)
After breakfast, take a guided tour of the imperial city and spend time exploring on your own. In the afternoon, head to Porto via Sagone, Cargèse, and the beautiful calanques of Piana. Capo d’Orto Hotel 3* or similar (B-L-D)
- Day 3: Porto – Corte – L’Île-Rousse (145km)
Eat breakfast at the hotel. Travel to the Spelunca Gorges, Évisa, the Aïtone and Valdu Niellu forests, and the Scala di Santa Regina trail. Have a traditional lunch. Take the tourist train up to the Citadel of Corte for a guided tour featuring the city’s fascinating history. Arrive in Balagne. Dinner and overnight accommodation in the L’Île-Rousse area. - Day 4: L’Île-Rousse – Calvi – Bastia (135km)
Go on a guided tour of Balagne’s historic villages. Pass through Corbara, Pigna, Aregno, and Sant’Antonino. Eat lunch at a restaurant. Head to Calvi for a guided tour of the Genoese citadel and its rich heritage. Continue to Bastia, passing through the Agriates Desert. On the way, stop at Saint-Florent. - Day 5: Bastia – Cap Corse – Favone (150km)
In the morning, travel along the coast of Cap Corse, a wild promontory dotted with Genoese towers and picture-perfect fishing villages. Then, take a guided tour of Bastia, renowned for its timeless charm and Baroque heritage. Continue south. Dinner and overnight accommodation in the Favone area. - Day 6: Favone – Bonifacio – Favone (130km)
Depart for Bonifacio. Set sail for a “caves and cliffs” sea cruise (weather permitting). Enjoy a fish lunch at the restaurant on the marina. Take the tourist train up to the citadel for a guided tour of the old town. Return to the hotel for dinner. (B-L-D)
- Day 7: Favone – Bavella – Ajaccio (135km)
Travel to Solenzara, then branch off to the Larone and Bavella passes to view the Aiguilles de Bavella. Have lunch in a mountain village, then head to Ajaccio via Sainte-Lucie-de-Tallano and Levie. Check in at the hotel near Ajaccio. Castel Vecchio Hotel Ajaccio 3* or similar (B-L-D)
