- Day 1: Montréal – Marseille
Fly to Marseille.
- Day 2: Marseille – Aix-en-Provence (29km)
Arrive and transfer to Aix-en-Provence. Check in at the hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner featuring Provençal cuisine. Hôtel des Augustins 3* (D)
- Day 3: Aix-en-Provence
Take a guided tour of Aix-en-Provence, with its plane-tree-lined Cours Mirabeau, hidden fountains, quaint streets, and elegant mansions. Have lunch on your own in the historic centre. Visit a calisson workshop to learn about, then sample this local specialty made with almonds and candied melon. Return to the hotel and enjoy dinner on your own. (B)
- Day 4: Aix-en-Provence – Marseille – Cassis – Aix-en-Provence (116km)
Visit Marseille, France’s second-largest city and Mediterranean capital. Explore the Old Port and the Panier district, then head up to the Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde Basilica. Have bouillabaisse for lunch, then visit Cassis and cruise through the calanques. Return to the hotel and enjoy dinner on your own. (B-L)
- Day 5: Aix-en-Provence – Avignon – Châteauneuf-du-Pape – Aix-en-Provence (203km)
Depart for Avignon, the “City of Popes.” Visit the Palace of the Popes, an impressive Gothic fortress, and the famous Avignon Bridge. Have lunch on your own in the historic centre. In the afternoon, sample wines at an estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Return to the hotel and enjoy dinner on your own. (B)
- Day 6: Aix-en-Provence – Luberon – Aix-en-Provence (168km)
Spend the day in the heart of the Luberon. Depart for Gordes, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France. Continue on to Roussillon, famous for its striking ochre cliffs. Stop in the Provençal villages of Ménerbes and Bonnieux. Have lunch in a Provençal farmhouse or a charming country inn. Return to the hotel and have dinner on your own. (B-L)
- Day 7: Aix-en-Provence – Camargue – Aix-en-Provence (185km)
Spend the morning exploring the wild Camargue’s unique fauna and flora. Enjoy a traditional lunch at a manade among bulls and horses, possibly with live gypsy music. Head back to the hotel and spend the rest of the day as you please. (B-L)
- Day 8: Aix-en-Provence – Saint-Tropez – Nice (233 km)
Leave Provence for the French Riviera. Stop for free time in Saint-Tropez with a stroll through the Old Port, lively streets, and Place des Lices. Have lunch on your own in a seaside restaurant. - Day 9: Nice
Take the morning to explore Nice’s Promenade des Anglais and Old Nice with its flower market, baroque façades, and scenic streets. Have lunch at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, then tour the residence and its themed gardens. Spend the rest of the day as you please. (B-L)
- Day 10: Nice – Monaco – Èze – Nice (41km)
Head to the Principality of Monaco to visit the Prince’s Palace, the cathedral, and the Monte Carlo district. Stroll through the gardens and around the casino on your own. Have lunch on your own. Pass through the medieval village of Èze, visit the Fragonard perfume factory, and take in panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Return to Nice and enjoy dinner on your own. (B)
- Day 11: Nice – Cannes – Lérins Islands – Nice
Spend the morning in Cannes strolling along La Croisette, and ride the tourist mini-train to the Palais des Festivals and the medieval district of Le Suquet. Have lunch on your own in town. In the afternoon, take a boat ride to the Lérins Islands. Stop at Île Sainte-Marguerite to see its royal fortress and pine forests. Enjoy optional free time. Return to Nice. Enjoy a farewell dinner featuring Niçoise specialties. (B-D)
- Day 12: Nice – Montréal
Spend the morning as you please, then transfer to the airport. (B)
