Day 3Budapest

Free time in the morning. Boarding of the ship from 6pm. Folklore evening and traditional entertainment in Budapest. (B-D)

Day 4Budapest

Sightseeing tour of Budapest and its main attractions. The capital is rich in historical landmarks, boasting numerous buildings on both sides of the river. In the afternoon, visit at leisure of Esztergom, Hungary’s first capital. Its neoclassical basilica and former royal palace really accentuate its beauty. (B-L-D)

Day 5Budapest – Vienna

Arrival in Vienna and trip to the Hofburg Palace, winter residence of the Habsburgs for over 6 centuries. In the evening, tour of illuminated Vienna. (B-L-D)

Day 6 Vienna

Guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace, summer residence of the imperial family, and sightseeing tour of Vienna. In the evening attend a Viennese music concert. (B-L-D)

Day 7Melk – Passau

Cruise up the most scenic part of the Wachau. Tour and free time in Dürnstein, a picturesque village steeped in the legend of King Richard the Lionheart. In the afternoon, visit to Melk Abbey, Austria’s pinnacle of Baroque art. Sailing. (B-L-D)

Day 8Passau

Discovery of Passau, famous for its university, music and theatre. Baroque buildings and romantic cobblestone alleyways are sure to leave you with unforgettable memories. Sailing. (B-L-D)

Day 9 Regensburg – Hilpoltstein

Stop at the Walhalla memorial, a marble temple that honours key figures in German history. Guided tour of Regensburg, a former imperial city where many Bavarian merchants built their mansions. Return on board to Kelheim, then cruise through the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal. (B-L-D)

Day 10Hilpoltstein – Nuremberg – Bamberg

Panoramic tour of Nuremberg in 1945: the courtroom, the Zeppelinfield Grandstand, the Documentation Center Nazi Party Rallying Grounds, and more. Afterward, walking tour of the castle district, with its narrow streets and lovely half-timbered houses. (B-L-D)

Day 11Bamberg – Rothenburg

Sailing to Schweinfurt. Tour of Rothenburg, a magnificent town on a romantic road that has successfully preserved its authenticity behind its 15th-century ramparts. (B-L-D)

Day 12Würzburg – Wertheim

Tour of Würzburg, a city located on the right bank of the River Main, famed for the lavish Baroque residence of the prince-bishops. Return on board to Karlstad am Main. Sailing. (B-L-D)

Day 13Wertheim – Miltenberg – Aschaffenburg

Exploration of Miltenberg, the“Pearl on the Main River,” with the market square surrounded by half-timbered houses, the High Street, and the old town hall. Sailing. (B-L-D)

Day 14Aschaffenburg – Frankfurt – Mainz

Cruise to Frankfurt and visit of the city’s striking blend of ancient and modern. Sailing to Mainz. At the confluence of the Rhine and Main rivers, and sheltered by its thousand-year-old cathedral, the city of Mainz links the past and the present. Exploration of the city. Gala evening. (B-L-D)

Day 15Mainz – Strasbourg

Cruise through the two biggest locks on the Rhine River, Iffezheim and Gambsheim, on the way to Strasbourg. Arrive around 2 p.m. and disembark. Transfer to the hotel and check in. Spend the rest of the day as you please. Hotel Novotel Centre Halles 4* (B-L)

Day 16Strasbourg
