Take a boat ride on Amsterdam’s scenic canals—a UNESCO World Heritage site—admiring the distinctive architecture with its narrow gabled houses, elegant 17th-century merchant homes, and charming bridges that span the waterways, creating an exceptional urban landscape. In the afternoon, tour the city and the world-famous Keukenhof flower park—a global symbol of the cultural importance of flowers and the Dutch floral industry. Explore this garden paradise at your own pace. Once the estate of a castle of the same name, the modern park was established in 1949 by flower bulb growers. Its vibrant floral displays and meticulously designed gardens promise a colourful and inspiring experience throughout your visit. (B-L-D)
Take a coach to the Open Air Museum in Arnhem, where the architecture and traditional way of life of the Dutch provinces are brought to life through some 80 authentic farmhouses, windmills, workshops, homes, a school, barns, and a church. Inside each building, period furnishings and craft demonstrations make the visit especially engaging. (B-L-D)
Walk to Cologne’s city centre. See the Gothic cathedral, then continue on through the old town with a stop in front of the famous Fragrance Museum. Explore the city at your own pace. (B-L-D)
Board a small tourist train for a vineyard tour in Rüdesheim am Rhein. Enjoy a wine tasting in the historic cellars of Bassenheimer Hof, then visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Cabinet, located in a 15th-century building and home to one of the largest and finest collections of mechanical musical instruments from the 18th to the 20th century. In the evening, check out the lively Drosselgasse, famous for its open-air taverns and live music. (B-L-D)
Travel by coach to Heidelberg. Stop at Heidelberg Castle to take in the exterior of this magnificent, partially ruined pink sandstone landmark. Since the late 18th century, its ruins have inspired painters and poets as a symbol of both grandeur and decline. Writers such as Goethe, Hölderlin, Uhland, and Eichendorff celebrated its scenery, which also became a favourite subject for many artists. Continue on to the geometric terraces of the Garden of the Palatinate, the “Hortus Palatinus,” once considered the “eighth wonder of the world.” Then, go on a guided tour of the old town. Cruise to Strasbourg in the evening. (B-L-D)
Spend the day as you please, with lunch on your own in Strasbourg. Stroll through the European capital, exploring its scenic streets and quaint neighbourhoods. Board the ship at 6pm. (B-D)

Continue cruising along the Main to Wertheim. Arrive in the afternoon with free time to explore the maze of narrow streets in Wertheim’s old town, where you’ll see typical half-timbered houses. (B-L-D)
Visit the Würzburg Residence. As the starting point of Germany’s Romantic Road, Würzburg is undoubtedly one of Bavaria’s most beautiful cities. Its city centre is filled with magnificent churches and palaces reflecting its rich past. It also served as a filming location for The Three Musketeers. Tour the residence, built in the 18th century by architect Balthasar Neumann and considered one of Bavaria’s finest palaces. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.(B-L-D)

Visit Nuremberg and enjoy a tasting of its famous gingerbread, a must-try local specialty. Rich in history, the city is protected by thick walls and roughly 80 towers. Its medieval heart is best explored on foot and is full of hidden treasures. Sample traditional German gingerbread with aromas of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and candied orange. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment. (B-L-D)
