Day 1Bruges – Aalterbrug – Ghent (21km)

Embarkation aboard the barge and meeting with the crew. Cruise to Aalterbrug, starting point of the first cycling excursion to Ghent. The route winds through the Flemish countryside, featuring peaceful canals, picturesque villages and lush green landscapes. (D)

Day 2Ghent

Today, day at leisure to discover Ghent at your own pace. A city of art and history, Ghent is renowned for its remarkable heritage, including the Castle of the Counts (Gravensteen), Saint Nicholas’ Church, Saint Bavo’s Cathedral and the famous Belfry. Optional cycling excursion with the guide to discover the castles and villas of Destelbergen, showcasing the rich heritage of the region. (B-L-D)

Day 3Ghent – Sas van Gent – Middelburg (45km)

Journey to the Netherlands. During breakfast, cruise to Sas van Gent before setting off by bicycle across the Zeelandic Flanders region. A short ferry crossing between Breskens and Vlissingen takes you across the Western Scheldt. Continue to Middelburg, capital of the Zeeland province. This charming city has preserved its rich heritage through its merchant houses, historic warehouses, picturesque canals and imposing medieval abbey, now home to a museum and the provincial government. Day 4Middelburg – Veere – Zierikzee (50km)

Cycling excursion to Veere, a charming historic town that was once an important commercial centre in Zeeland. Continue across the Veerse Gat Dam, with an opportunity to enjoy the beach, before reaching Noord-Beveland. Further along, the impressive Eastern Scheldt Storm Surge Barrier stands as a remarkable example of Dutch water management expertise. The route then follows this engineering marvel before ending in the beautiful historic town of Zierikzee. (B-L-D)

Day 5Zierikzee – Bruinisse – Willemstad – Dordrecht (55km)

Cycling excursion on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland. Continue to Bruinisse, an authentic village whose history and economy are closely tied to mussel fishing. The route then leads to Willemstad, a remarkable fortified town with a rich historical heritage. Embarkation in the late afternoon and cruise to Dordrecht, one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, located at the crossroads of major waterways. (B-L-D)

Day 6Dordrecht – Gorinchem – Woudrichem – Leerdam – Vianen (50km)

Departing from Gorinchem, the cycling route leads to Woudrichem, a charming former fortified town with a rich maritime past. The journey continues along the winding Linge River in the fertile Betuwe region, renowned for its many orchards that burst into spectacular bloom in spring. Passing through Leerdam, famous for its glassmaking craftsmanship, the route continues north to Vianen, a historic town full of character. (B-L-D)

Day 7Vianen – Breukelen – Amsterdam (40km)

Cruise to Breukelen, starting point of the final cycling excursion. The route follows the banks of the Vecht and Amstel Rivers, two of the most beautiful waterways in the Netherlands, lined with elegant 18th-century mansions and meticulously landscaped gardens. Arrival in Amsterdam and free time to explore the Dutch capital, its iconic canals, renowned museums, the Anne Frank House, the Rijksmuseum and Dam Square.
