Itinerary
- Day 1: Bari - Ostuni
Arrive at the airport and transfer to the hotel in the Ostuni area. CDSHotels Riva Marina Resort 4* (D)
- Day 2: Monopoli - Polignano a Mare
Set out for Monopoli to explore the city’s historical centre, including Garibaldi Square, the Church of Santa Teresa, and the façade of Palazzo Palmieri. Then take a walk by the sea in the heart of the cliffside town of Polignano a Mare. Continue south to the Itria Valley. Dinner and accommodation in the Ostuni region. (B-D)
- Day 3: Bari
In the morning, explore Bari. Enjoy a stroll on the Lungomare Nazario Sauro, a promenade overlooking the Adriatic Sea, followed by a guided tour of the old town. Spend the afternoon as you please. Dinner and accommodation in the Ostuni region. (B-D)
- Day 4: Alberobello - Locorotondo
Spend the morning exploring the land of the trulli—tiny houses with cone-shaped roofs that dot the vineyards and gardens. Continue on to Locorotondo, a charming village of whitewashed houses perched on the hillside. Dinner and accommodation in the Ostuni region. (B-D)
- Day 5: Lecce
Enjoy a day exploring the city of Lecce, “the Baroque Florence,” whose sumptuous architecture is renowned for its ornate ornamentation. Go on an outdoor tour of the amphitheatre ruins, the Church of San Marco, and the magnificent monuments surrounding Piazza del Duomo. Dinner and accommodation in the Ostuni region. (B-D)
- Day 6: Ostuni - Martina Franca
Depart for Ostuni, built atop three hills. Explore the picturesque attractions of the old town, its Baroque and Renaissance-style palaces, and the cathedral perched atop of the highest hill. In the afternoon, move on to Martina Franca, a charming town renowned for its baroque buildings and rococo palaces. Dinner and accommodation in the Ostuni region. (B-D)
- Day 7: Matera
Head to Matera to admire the Sassi—cave dwellings formed by white buildings stacked on top of each other such that the roofs often double as streets. Then, stroll the Strada panoramica dei Sassi, a scenic walk that runs along the gorge and around the rock in which the cathedral is embedded. Dinner and accommodation in the Ostuni region. (B-D)
