Day 1Milan

Fly to Milan.

Day 2Milan – Lake Maggiore region (31km)

Arrive at Milan airport, then drive to Meina in the Lake Maggiore region. Check in and have dinner at the hotel. Bel Sit Hotel 4* (D)

Day 3Lake Maggiore – Borromean Islands – Lake Orta – Lake Maggiore (60km)

In the morning, take a private boat trip to the Borromean Islands, a tiny archipelago in the middle of Lake Maggiore, known for their lush gardens and incredible landscapes. Stop at Isola Bella for a guided tour of Borromeo Palace, a unique example of Italian baroque architecture. Enjoy lunch on your own on Isola dei Pescatore. In the afternoon, head to Lake Orta and wander through the charming village of Orta San Giulio, where centuries-old houses with graceful balconies line ancient alleys. Day 4Lake Maggiore region – Lake Como – Milan (139km)

Travel to Lake Como. Explore the town of Como at your own pace and enjoy lunch on your own. Day 5Milan - Lake Garda region (200km)

Spend the day exploring the shores of Lake Garda, the largest of the Italian lakes. Stop in at quaint villages with charming historic centres and authentic little harbour towns, including Bardolino, Malcesine, and Riva del Garda. Day 6Lake Garda – Verona – Val di Fassa (200km)

Spend the morning getting to know the city of Verona. Take a guided tour of the main attractions: the Roman amphitheatre (exterior), Via Mazzini, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza dei Signori, the Tombs of the Scaligers, Juliet’s balcony, the cathedral (exterior) and the Adige Docks district. Day 7Val di Fassa – Bolzano – Lake Carezza – Val di Fassa (90km)

Travel by coach to Bolzano, a city in South Tyrol in northern Italy. Take a guided tour of the historic centre with stops at Piazza Walther, Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza del Grano, and the city’s main religious monuments, including the cathedral, a gem of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. In the afternoon, visit a wine cellar for a tasting. On the return drive, stop at magnificent Lake Carezza, a small alpine lake surrounded by forests and famous for its emerald waters and its reflections of the Latemar massif. Day 8Val di Fassa (50km)

Board the bus for a trip up Sella Pass (elevation 2213m) to take in the incredible panoramic views of the Dolomites. Have lunch on your own. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of a Val di Fassa artisanal cheese factory renowned for its typical cheese. Return to the hotel for dinner. (B-D)

Day 9Val di Fassa – Cortina d’Ampezzo (90km)

In the morning, ride the cable car from Falzarego Pass to the summit of Mount Lagazuoi (2800m), one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Dolomites. Enjoy sweeping 360-degree views of the surrounding peaks from the observation deck. 9>Val di Fassa – Cortina d’Ampezzo (90km) | Head towards Cortina d’Ampezzo via Falzarego Pass and marvel at the region’s most famous peaks: Civetta, Pelmo, and the Tofane range. Day 10Cortina d’Ampezzo – Three Peaks of Lavaredo – Lake Misurina – Cortina d’Ampezzo (50km)

Take the tour bus to the Three Peaks of Lavaredo for an easy 2km hike along even terrain to the shelter. Continue to Lake Misurina and have dinner at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, take an easy hike of about 3km along the lake to admire the colours and the scenery reflected on the water. Return to the hotel and spend the evening as you please. (B-L)

Day 11Cortina d’Ampezzo – Lake Braies - San Candido – Cortina d’Ampezzo (80km)

Spend the day exploring Val Pusteria, starting with Lake Braies, considered one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in Italy. Set against a backdrop of majestic mountains and pine forests, this emerald-green lake is a postcard in real life. Day 12Cortina d’Ampezzo – Valdobbiadene – Venice (180km)

Day 13Venise
