Tuscany always has an air of vacation about it, as if the world were slowing down to make way for the present moment. Here, vineyards bask in the sun at the foot of rocky spurs, feudal towers, and sumptuous palaces, bordered by hills where cypress and olive trees bloom. And where there are vines there are wines—it’s tough to beat the great Italian vintages, especially when paired with mouthwatering Tuscan specialties. And all that is just the beginning.
