Itinerary
- Day 1: Montréal – Milan
Fly to Milan.
- Day 2: Milan – Turin (143km)
Arrive in Milan for airport pickup and transfer to Turin. Enjoy a traditional lunch, then a panoramic coach tour of the city. Check in and have dinner at the hotel. Hotel TBA (L-D)
- Day 3: Turin
Go on a guided walking tour of the historic centre, including Piazza Castello, the Royal Palace, Palazzo Madama, Via Po, and Piazza San Carlo. End at a historic café with a tasting of traditional chocolate. Have lunch where you please. In the afternoon, visit Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile. (B)
- Day 4: Turin – Barolo – Pollenzo (88km)
Head to the Langhe region and visit the Wine Museum. Enjoy lunch and a tasting at a local wine cellar. Stop in La Morra. Continue to Pollenzo, check in and have dinner at the hotel. HotelTBA (B-L-D)
- Day 5: Pollenzo – Alba – Pollenzo (26km)
Spend the morning truffle hunting in the Langhe woods with a trifulau and his dog. Spend the rest of the day exploring the International Alba White Truffle Fair at your own pace. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon, in time for dinner. (B-D)
- Day 6: Pollenzo – Asti – Montferrat hills – Pollenzo (155km)
Head to Asti for a guided walking tour of the historic centre, with several stops along the way. Visit a sparkling wine producer and enjoy a tasting. Savour a traditional lunch at a trattoria before continuing through the Montferrat hills, with stops in scenic villages. Return to the hotel and spend the evening as you please. (B-L)
- Day 7 : Pollenzo – Grinzane Cavour – Castiglione Falletto – Serralunga d’Alba – Pollenzo (46km)
Depart for a guided tour of the medieval castle of Grinzane Cavour. Then, head to the charming village of Castiglione Falletto and explore on your own. In the afternoon, visit the medieval castle of Serralunga d’Alba. Return to the hotel and spend the evening as you please. (B)
- Day 8: Pollenzo – Genoa (145km)
Travel to Genoa in the Liguria region. Check in at the hotel and have lunch on your own. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the medieval city centre, including the Palazzi dei Rolli (exterior), the Porto Antico district, and the narrow alleyways known as caruggi. Hotel TBA (B-D)
- Day 9: Genoa – Cinque Terre – Genoa (220km)
Spend the day exploring the Cinque Terre. Leave early for La Spezia, where you’ll board local trains bound for the villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, and Monterosso. Have lunch on your own during the excursion, then take the train back to La Spezia. Head back to Genoa by coach. (B)
- Day 10: Genoa – Santa Margherita Ligure – Portofino – Rapallo – Santa Margherita Ligure – Genoa (76km)
Travel to Santa Margherita Ligure and board a ferry to Portofino, with free time to explore. In the afternoon, continue by boat to Rapallo for additional free time. Return by boat to Santa Margherita Ligure, then back to Genoa by coach. Enjoy dinner on your own. (B)
- Day 11: Genoa – Albenga – Alassio – Genoa (200km)
Travel to Albenga and stop in Alassio. Enjoy a stroll, then lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, return to Genoa and visit a basil grower for a demonstration and workshop, followed by a tasting of local fare. Head back to Genoa for a farewell dinner at a waterfront restaurant on the port. (B-L-D)
- Day 12: Genoa – Milan (145km)
Go to Milan for lunch at an authentic pizzeria. Take a guided tour of the landmarks (exteriors), including the Milan Cathedral, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, La Scala Theatre, Palazzo Marino, and Piazza San Fedele. Check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day as you please. Hotel TBA (B-L)
- Day 13: Milan – Montréal
Transfer to the Milan airport and fly back to Montréal. (B)
