Itinerary

Day 1Amsterdam – Oude Wetering (10km)

Board between 12:30pm and 1pm. Sail to Oude Wetering and explore the village by bike. (D)

Day 2Oude Wetering – Gouda (45km)

Bike through the countryside along the river and canals of the “Groene Hart” (green heart) of the Netherlands to Gouda, renowned for its cheese. Explore at your own pace. Don’t miss the historic centre, the canals, the cobbled streets reminiscent of medieval times, and the church with stained glass windows. It’s one of the biggest in Europe! (B-L-D)

Day 3Gouda – Delft (40km)

Bike through the Alblasserwaard and admire the Kinderdijk windmills. Board a ferry to Rotterdam, then sail on the canal boat to Delft. Visit of the medieval centre, the canals, the town hall, and the royal tomb in the Nieuwe Kerk, all at your own pace. (B-L-D)

Day 4Delft – Leiden (40km)

Bike to The Hague, through the Haagse Bos forest and past the royal Huis ten Bosch Palace. Continue through the dunes towards Wassenaarse Slag and check out the beach nestled behind the sand dunes. Spend some time on your own to rest and enjoy the view of the North Sea. Then pedal on to the fishing village of Katwijk aan Zee and end the day in Leiden, where you’ll take a self-guided city tour. Day 5Leiden

Transfer by public transport to visit the Keukenhof flower gardens (transport and admission included), where you’ll be treated to the amazingly colourful sight of millions of flowering bulbs. Admire some 20 floral exhibits where 500 growers display an impressive variety of cut flowers and potted plants. (B-L-D)

Day 6Leiden – Haarlem (40km)

Continue to Haarlem past beautiful fields of flowers in bloom: daffodils, hyacinths, lilies, and tulips. Explore Haarlem at your own pace, including the large central square (Grote Markt), the town hall, and the church of St. Bavo. (B-L-D)

Day 7Haarlem – Amsterdam (40km)

Sail to the picturesque village of Spaarndam, where you’ll board the Buitenhuizen ferry to cross the North Sea Canal. Then bike to the village of Zaanse Schans to admire the windmills and traditional wooden houses. Return to Amsterdam and enjoy free time. (B-L-D)

Day 8Amsterdam

Breakfast on board. Disembark at 10am. (B)
