After two days in Bologna discovering Italian gastronomy and sampling exceptional local products, you will board your ship and set sail for Split, the capital of Dalmatia. You will then skirt the Italian peninsula toward Brindisi, a small port city rich in architectural treasures, before continuing on to Dubrovnik and Bar. You will spend a day at sea sailing toward Sicily, then head for Portofino and Florence before ending in style with two full days in Rome, where you can fully immerse yourself in la dolce vita.

Visit a Parmigiano Reggiano producer for a cheese tasting, followed by a tour of a Parma ham producer, complete with a lunch featuring local products. Next it’s off to a balsamic vinegar maker for a tasting of aged varieties. Spend the rest of the day as you please. (B-L)
