Arrival in Takamatsu, capital of Kagawa Prefecture, located along the Seto Inland Sea. Visit of Ritsurin‑koen Garden, one of the most beautiful gardens in Japan, known for its refined landscapes combining ponds, wooded hills, bridges and pavilions. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, discovery of Shikoku Mura open-air museum, featuring traditional houses and buildings from the Edo to Taishō periods, several of which are designated Important Cultural Properties. In the morning, ferry crossing to Shodoshima Island in the Seto Inland Sea, known for its scenic landscapes and nicknamed the “Olive Island.” It is also renowned for its traditional soy sauce production. Discovery of the Kankakei Gorge and ascent by cable car offering stunning views of the sea and surrounding cliffs. Continuation across the island through terraced rice fields and green hills. Stop in Ulsan and departure for Gyeongju, the former capital of the Silla Kingdom (57 BC to 935 AD), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its outstanding historical remains. Visit of the Heavenly Horse Tomb (Cheonmachong), followed by the National Museum and its collections. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continuation with a visit of Bulguksa Temple, a masterpiece of Buddhist art, followed by the return to Ulsan and a walk through Taehwagang National Garden, famous for its bamboo forest.
