Itinerary
- Day 1: Kathmandu
Airport pickup and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner. Hotel Traditional Comfort 3* or similar (D)
- Day 2: Kathmandu
Spend the day exploring Kathmandu’s sumptuous temples and palaces. Visit Swayambunath, known as the “Monkey Temple,” perched above the city. Then explore Boudhanath Stupa, a Tibetan spiritual icon, and Shechen Monastery, a masterpiece of Tibetan art. Finally, experience the wonder of Pashupatinath, one of the holiest Hindu temples. (B)
- Day 3: Kathmandu – Bhaktapur (20km)
Check out Durbar Square, with its temples in an array of architectural styles. Head to Bhaktapur, a former imperial city with medieval architecture. On the way, enjoy traditional dishes prepared by the Newar community. In Bhaktapur, visit the famous five-tiered Nyatapola Temple and wander the lively streets filled with skilled woodworkers and potters. Hotel Bhadgaon 3* or similar (B)
- Day 4: Bhaktapur – Sanga Bhanjyang – Panauti (20km – 1hr.)
Transfer to Sanga Bhanjyang, on the eastern edge of the Kathmandu Valley, known for its massive Shiva statue. Then, hike to Panauti, passing through rice paddies and farmland with views of Banepa and, on clear days, the Himalayas. Spend the night with a local family for an authentic cultural experience. - Day 5: Panauti – Pharping (45km – 1hr. 30 min.)
After breakfast, travel to Pharping. The town and surrounding area are home to key Buddhist pilgrimage sites, monasteries, and meditation centres. Neydo Hotel 3* or similar (B)
- Day 6: Pharping – Chitwan (165km – 5hr.)
Head out from Pharping on a road with stunning views of the Trishuli River, stone villages, terraced rice fields, and mountains. Arrive at Chitwan National Park, renowned for its wildlife and unique safaris. Tigerland Safari Resort 3* or similar (B-L-D)
- Day 7: Chitwan National Park
Spend a full day exploring the park, with activities such as nature walks, canoe rides, jeep safaris, visits to local villages, and bird or crocodile watching. (B-L-D)
- Day 8: Chitwan – Pokhara (160km – 4hr.)
From the dense forests and fertile lands of Chitwan, head to Pokhara, a city famous for its lakes and spectacular views of the Annapurna range. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and stroll through a Newar village featuring traditional architecture. Pokhara enchants with its natural beauty, serene atmosphere, and Himalayan vistas—including Machapuchare and three peaks over 8,000 metres. Temple Tree Resort and Spa 3* or similar (B)
- Day 9: Pokhara
At dawn, drive to Sarangkot to watch the sunrise, then return to Pokhara for breakfast. Enjoy a boat ride on Lake Phewa and visit Tal Barahi Temple. Explore the World Peace Pagoda, Bindhyabasini Temple, Devi’s Fall, and sacred Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. End the day at the Bhalam suspension bridge, with spectacular views of the Seti River and surrounding landscapes. (B)
- Day 10: Pokhara – Kathmandu (200km – 6hr. 30min.)
Return early to Kathmandu. Arrive in the afternoon and check in at the hotel. Enjoy a farewell dinner at Nepali Chulo Restaurant including a traditional Nepali dance performance. Nepali Ghar Hotel 3* or similar (B-D)
- Day 11: Kathmandu
Transfer to the Kathmandu airport. (B)
