Itinerary
- Day 1: Hanoi
Pick-up at the airport and transfer to hotel. Muong Thanh Grand Hanoi Hotel 4* or similar
- Day 2: Hanoi
Enjoy a free morning. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, and the Ngoc Son Temple. (B-D)
- Day 3: Hanoi – Duong Lam – Hanoi (130km – 3 hr. 30 min.)
Head to the village of Duong Lam, recognized as a national relic site. Return to Hanoi and enjoy a free afternoon. (B-L-D)
- Day 4: Hanoi – Ha Long (170 km – 3 hrs 30 min)
Drive to Ha Long, with a visit along the way to the Dai Viet handicraft centre for people with disabilities. Embarkation on a boat for a cruise in the Ha Long Bay. Exploration of the Bay’s lesser-known islands, swimming and visits to caves. Night on board the junk. Halong Sails boat (B-L-D)
- Day 5: Ha Long – Ninh Binh (200 km – 4 hrs)
Cruise continues. Landing and drive to Ninh Binh. Ninh Binh Legend Hotel 4* or similar (B-L-D)
- Day 6: Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu – Vinh (200 km – 4 hrs)
Trip to Hoa Lu. Boat excursion on a small canal winding between rice paddies and mountain ranges to explore the Bich Dong caves. Visit to Phat Diem Cathedral. Lunch at a local’s home. Then, onward to Vinh. SongLam Waterfront Hotel 4* or similar (B-L-D)
- Day 7: Vinh – Phong Nha – Dong Hoi (200km – 5 hr.)
Visit Phong Nha Cave. Travel to Dong Hoi. Sun Spa Resort & Villas Quang Binh Vietnam 4* or similar (B-L-D)
- Day 8: Dong Hoi – Hue (160 km – 3 hrs 30 min)
Tour of the Vinh Moc tunnels, dug during the Vietnam War, and a stop at the 17th Parallel Bridge. Arrival in Hue and visit of the Imperial City. Rickshaw ride to Dong Ba Market. Century Hotel 4* or similar (B-L-D)
- Day 9 : Hue
Take a sampan ride on the Perfume River. Visit the Thien Mu pagoda and the Eunuch Temple. Then, discovery of the gardens and tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. (B-L-D)
- Day 10 : Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (115 km – 2 hrs 30 min)
Drive to Da Nang and visit to a marble-carving workshop. Ecotourism excursion: bike ride and guided tour of the Tra Que Vegetable Village. Afternoon guided walking tour of Hoi An, including the Fujian Assembly Hall, the Phuc Thanh Pagoda and the Japanese Bridge linking the two districts of the city. - Day 11: Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An (100 km – 2 hrs)
Exploration of the My Son archaeological site, home to 70 tower-temples, followed by a performance of Cham dancing. Afternoon free. (B-L-D)
- Day 12 : Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City – Can Tho (225 km – 4hr30min)
Transfer to Da Nang airport and flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Departure for a tour of the Mekong Delta. On the way, stop to visit a temple devoted to the Caodaism religion. Then, carriage ride and tasting of local products among the orchards of one of Ben Tre’s islands. Continuation to Can Tho. Muong Thanh Luxury Can Tho Hotel 4* or similar (B-L-D)
- Day 13 : Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City (180 km – 4hrs)
