Day 1Luang Prabang

Arrive at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Santi Resort & Spa 4* or similar (D)

Day 2Luang Prabang

Spend the morning as you please. Take a Luang Prabang city tour. Visit Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Visoun temples, then climb Phousi Hill to watch the sunset. (B-D)

Day 3Luang Prabang – Pak Ou – Luang Prabang (30km)

Eat breakfast at the hotel. Visit the National Museum and Wat Mai Temple. Embark on a 2-hour cruise on the Mekong River to the sacred caves of Pak Ou, with a stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai. Return to Luang Prabang and visit the village of Ban Xang Khong, known for its silk and cotton weaving. (B-L-D)

Day 4Luang Prabang – Kuang Si – Luang Prabang (30km)

Early birds have the chance to attend the Tak Bat ceremony, followed by a walk to the market. Head back to the hotel for breakfast. Depart for the Kuang Si Falls. Eat lunch on site. Return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon. (B-L-D)

Day 5Luang Prabang – Vang Vieng

Transfer to the train station and travel to Vang Vieng. Have lunch in a local restaurant. Visit the Vang Vieng caves, then take a pirogue cruise on the Nam Song River. Take a dip in a clear water spring. Silver Naga Hotel 4* or similar (B-L-D)

Day 6Vang Vieng – Vientiane (150km – 4hr. 30min.)

Hit the road for Vientiane with a stop at the fishing village of Ban Tha Heua. Have lunch upon arrival. In the afternoon, visit the capital's main temples. Day 7Vientiane – Pakse (40km – 1hr.)

Transfer to the airport and fly to Pakse. Leave for the Bolaven Plateau and see the waterfalls. In the afternoon, see the coffee, tea, and cardamom plantations, then visit Tad Pha Suam park. Return to Pakse and check in at the hotel. Champasak Grand Hotel 4* or similar (B-L-D)

Day 8Pakse – Champassak – Khong Island (150km – 3hr.)

Hit the road to Champassak to visit the pre-Angkorian ruins of Vat Phou. Continue to Khong Island, in the heart of "4000 Islands." Check in at the hotel and take a walk through the temples and villages. Pon Arena Hotel 3* or similar (B-L-D)

Day 9Khong Island

Take a cruise on the Mekong River. Visit Don Det and Khong islands to see what life is like for local fishers. Admire the Liphi Waterfalls. Have lunch in the restaurant before visiting Khon Phapheng Falls. Head back to Khong Island for dinner. (B-L-D)

Day 10Khong – Pakse – Siem Réap

Transfer to the airport and fly to Pakse. Have lunch before exploring the Khmer temples of the Roluos Group. Somadevi Angkor Boutique & Resort 5* or similar (B-L-D)

Day 11Angkor Thom – Ta Prohm Temple – Ta Keo Temple

Visit Angkor Thom to see the Bayon and Baphuon temples, the Phimeanakas Royal Enclosure, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon, explore the Ta Prohm and Ta Keo temples, and the circular Neak Pean Temple. (B-L-D)

Day 12Banteay Srei Temple – Angkor Wat Temple

In the morning, visit two temples: Banteay Srei and Bakong. Have lunch, then visit Angkor Wat. Catch the sunset from Phnom Bakheng temple mountain. Dinner with an Apsaras dance performance. (B-L-D)

Day 13Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (320km – 6hr.)
