Day 1Athens

Arrive at the Athens airport and transfer to the hotel. Crystal City Hotel 3* or similar

Day 2Athens

Free day. Optional: Mini-cruise on the Saronic Gulf ($). (B)

Day 3Athens – Epidaurus – Mycenae – Olympia (390km)

Set off via the coastal road and stop at the Corinth Canal. Visit the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, built in the 4th century B.C. and famous for its perfect acoustics. Continue to Nafplio for a photo break. Travel to Mycenae to explore an archaeological site and the Treasury of Atreus. Cross the centre of the Peloponnese via Tripoli and Megalopolis. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games. Neda Hotel 3* or similar (B-D)

Day 4Olympia – Delphi (240km)

In the morning, visit the archaeological site of Olympia, which houses the Sanctuary of Zeus, an ancient stadium, and a museum. Then, depart for Delphi and cross the spectacular Rio-Antirrio Bridge, which links the Peloponnese to mainland Greece. Pass through Nafpaktos and Itea. Have dinner and spend the night in Delphi. Day 5Delphi – Kalambaka (230km)

Spend a good part of the day exploring the majestic central Greek site of Delphi, dominated by Mount Parnassus. Stroll through the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo, the famous Athenian Treasury, and a museum. Continue to Kalambaka, at the foot of the spectacular Meteora rocks, a stunning geological formation. Day 6Kalambaka – Meteora – Athens (360km)

Visit the Meteora region, a unique location with exceptional landscapes where Byzantine monasteries hang between heaven and earth. Head back to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, and Thermopylae, a historic site from the Greco-Persian wars. Make a quick stop at the bronze statue of Leonidas. Arrive in late afternoon. Day 7Athens

Take a deep dive into the city of Athens. Stop at the Hellenic Parliament, which is guarded day and night by the famous Evzones, the presidential guard. Explore the elegant neoclassical monuments, the marble Panathenaic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus, and Hadrian’s Arch, a Roman triumphal arch built in the 2nd century. Highlight of the day: A tour of the Acropolis and the Parthenon. Then, explore the very modern Acropolis Museum. (B-D)
