Flight to Casablanca.

Day 2Casablanca

Airport pick-up and tour of the city, including the Mohamed V Square, and residential neighbourhood Val d’Anfa. Transfer to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Hotel Idou Anfa 4* (D)

Day 3Casablanca – Rabat (90km)

Visit of the Hassan II Mosque, Habous district and the old medina before leaving for the Moroccan capital to discover the Udayas Kasbah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Hassan Tower. Onomo Hotel Rabat Terminus 4* (B-D)

Day 4Rabat – Asilah – Tangier (260km)

Journey to Tangier, with a stop in Asilah and orientation tour of the city. Discovery of Cape Spartel, followed by a guided tour of Tangier, featuring the Grand Socco and the Petit Socco. Hotel Marina Bay Grand Socco 4* (B-D)

Day 5Tangier - Tetouan - Chefchaouen (130km)

Day 6Chefchaouen - Ouazzane - Fes (230km)

Day 7Fes

Day dedicated to the exploration of Fes, the country’s oldest imperial city. Discovery of the medieval medina and its main monuments, followed by the districts of Mellah and Fes Jdid. (B-D)

Day 8Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes (165km)

Departure for the archeological site of Volubilis. Stop at Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, shrine of pilgrimage. Arrival in Meknes featuring a tour of the city to see the Sahrij Swani basin, the Bab Mansour Gate or even the El-Hedime Square. Return to Fes. (B-D)

Day 9Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga (460km)

Journey to the Sahara Desert. Stop to see the Azrou Cedar Forest, then onward to Midelt, nestled at 1520m above sea level. Continuation to Erfoud and transfer in 4WD to explore the Merzouga region. Camel ride across the dunes followed by a traditional Berber dinner under the stars. Night in a tent. Bivouac Azawad (B-D)

Day 10Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinerhir – Kelaat M’Gouna – Boumalne Dades (300km)

Early-morning wake-up to witness the sunrise. Departure to Tinghir to discover the impressive Todra Gorges. Onward to the Dades valley through outstanding landscapes. Stop in Kalaat M’Gouna, the rose water capital of the country. Arrival in Boumalne Dades. Hotel Xaluca Dades 4* (B-D)

Day 11Boumalne Dades – Ouarzazate – Aït-Ben-Haddou – Marrakesh (215km)

Visit of the Taourirt kasbahs (outside) and Aït Benhaddou. Onward to Marrakesh through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, culminating at an altitude of 2260m. Hotel Grand Plaza 4* (B-D)

Day 12Marrakesh

Tour of the Majorelle Garden, built in the 1920s by painter Jacques Majorelle. Visit of the Koutoubia Mosque and the Bahia Palace. In the afternoon, walk through the souks of Marrakesh, discovery of Moroccan craftwork and the Jemaa el-Fna square, where jugglers, acrobats and snake charmers gather. In the evening, dinner with music in a local restaurant. (B-D)

Day 13Marrakesh – High Atlas – Marrakesh

Day in the High Atlas. Departure for Tahanaout to marvel at the beautiful scenery and drink tea with the locals. Onward to Lake Lalla Takerkoust via the Kik Plateau. Dinner at the restaurant, followed by free time to enjoy the surroundings. Return to Marrakesh by the Amizmiz Road. (B-L-D)

Day 14Marrakesh – Essaouira (190km)

Trip to the Atlantic coast. Stop in a cooperative producing argan oil. Arrival in Essaouira to explore the medina along with the souks, the port, the ramparts and the old Jewish quarter.
