Itinerary
- Day 1: Montréal – Casablanca
Flight to Casablanca.
- Day 2: Casablanca
Airport pickup and tour of the city. Visit Mohamed V Square and the residential neighbourhood of Anfa. Free time. Hotel TBD (D)
- Day 3: Casablanca – Rabat (90km)
Visit of the Hassan II Mosque, Habous district and the old medina before leaving for the Moroccan capital to discover the Udayas Kasbah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Hassan Tower. Hotel to be confirmed (B-D)
- Day 4: Rabat – Asilah – Tanger (260km)
Journey to Tangier, with a stop in Asilah and orientation tour of the city. Discovery of Cape Spartel, followed by a guided tour of Tangier, featuring the Grand Socco and the Petit Socco. Hotel to be confirmed (B-D)
- Day 5: Tanger – Tétouan – Chefchaouen (130km)
Departure to Tetouan. Guided tour of the medina and discovery of the Mosque, Mohammed V Avenue, and Hassan II Square. Onward to Chefchaouen, at the foot of the Rif Mountains, for a guided tour of the old city. Hotel to be confirmed (B-D)
- Day 6: Chefchaouen - Ouazzane - Fez (230km)
Travel to Fez with a stop in Ouazzane for lunch on your own. Hotel TBD (B-D)
- Day 7: Fez
Day dedicated to the exploration of Fez, the country’s oldest imperial city. Discovery of the medieval medina and its main monuments, followed by the districts of Mellah and Fes Jdid. (B-D)
- Day 8: Fez – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez (165km)
Head towards the Volubilis historic landmark. Stop at Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, a pilgrimage site. Arrival in Meknes and see the city: Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, Bab Mansour Gate, and El Hedime Square. Return to Fez. (B-D)
- Day 9: Fez – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga (460km)
Journey to the Sahara Desert. Stop to see the Azrou Cedar Forest, then onward to Midelt, nestled at 1520m above sea level. Continuation to Erfoud and transfer in 4WD to explore the Merzouga region. Camel ride across the dunes followed by a traditional Berber dinner under the stars. Night in a tent. Hotel to be confirmed (B-D)
- Day 10: Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinghir – Boumalne Dades (300km)
Early-morning wake-up to witness the sunrise. Departure to Tinghir to discover the impressive Todra Gorges. Onward to the Dades valley through outstanding landscapes. Arrival in Boumalne Dades. Hotel to be confirmed (B-D)
- Day 11: Boumalne Dades – Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou – Marrakesh (215km)
Visit of the Taourirt kasbahs (outside) and Aït Benhaddou. Onward to Marrakesh through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, culminating at an altitude of 2260m. Hotel to be confirmed (B-D)
- Day 12: Marrakesh
Tour of the Majorelle Garden, built in the 1920s by painter Jacques Majorelle. Visit of the Koutoubia Mosque and the Bahia Palace. In the afternoon, walk through the souks of Marrakesh, discovery of Moroccan craftwork and the Jemaa el-Fna square, where jugglers, acrobats and snake charmers gather. In the evening, dinner with music in a local restaurant. (B-D)
- Day 13: Marrakesh – High Atlas – Marrakesh (145km)
Day in the High Atlas. Departure for Tahanaout to marvel at the beautiful scenery and drink tea with the locals. Onward to Lake Lalla Takerkoust via the Kik Plateau. Dinner at the restaurant, followed by free time to enjoy the surroundings. Return to Marrakesh by the Amizmiz Road. (B-L-D)
- Day 14: Marrakesh – Essaouira (190km)
Trip to the Atlantic coast. Stop in a cooperative producing argan oil. Arrival in Essaouira to explore the medina along with the souks, the port, the ramparts and the old Jewish quarter. Hotel to be confirmed (B-D)
- Day 15: Essaouira – Agadir (175km)
Leave for Agadir. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to go to the beach and do some shopping. Hotel TBD (B-D)
