Morning visit to Kom Ombo Temple, a remarkable Greco-Roman sanctuary situated on the banks of the Nile. Unique in Egypt, it is dedicated to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder, the falcon god. Arrival in Aswan in the morning. Visit to the magnificent Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Threatened by rising waters following the construction of the Aswan High Dam, this jewel of the Ptolemaic era was rescued through a major UNESCO-led operation and rebuilt on a nearby island.
