Depart for a panoramic tour of San Felipe Castle, an imposing stone fortress widely regarded as the masterpiece of Spanish military engineering in the Americas (photo stop). Visit the Convent of La Popa, a cloister perched atop a hill overlooking the entire city. Located on San Lazaro Hill, San Felipe Castle was a strategic stronghold, offering views of all potential invasion routes to Cartagena de Indias, whether by land or by sea.
