Day 1Vancouver

Airport pickup and transfer to the hotel. La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Vancouver Airport 3* or similar

Day 2Vancouver

Set out on a guided tour of Vancouver to discover Stanley Park and its totems, the theatre and sports districts, Granville Street, Canada Place, Chinatown, Gastown, Yaletown, and Granville Island Public Market. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. (B-D)

Day 3Vancouver – Victoria (100km)

Take a morning ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay (Victoria), cruising past many small islands for an up-close look at an abundance of marine animals. Upon arrival, tour Victoria and see Parliament (from the outside), the Fairmont Empress, the antique district, Chinatown, the Oaklands neighbourhood, Marine Drive along the coast, and Beacon Hill Park. Day 4Victoria – Chemainus – Nanaimo – Squamish (500km)

In the morning, visit the renowned Butchart Gardens, where you’ll also have lunch. Head to Chemainus and continue to Nanaimo, then board the ferry to Horseshoe Bay. Continue to Squamish on the famous Sea to Sky Highway, one of the most scenic routes in Western Canada, stretching from the coast to the mountains. Stop at the 335m-high Shannon Falls. Day 5Squamish – Whistler – Kamloops (300km)

Head to pedestrian-only Whistler Village. Start the day by exploring Whistler, a ski resort that hosted events during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. From there, head to Cache Creek and Lillooet, “Mile 0” of the route taken by prospectors during the Klondike gold rush. Continue to 108 Mile Ranch or South Thompson Ranch. Check in at the ranch, in the heart of nature. Free time upon arrival. South Thompson Inn 3* or similar (B-D)

Day 6Kamloops – Wells Gray – Jasper (445km)

Travel to Wells Gray Provincial Park. Discover Helmcken Falls, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in BC with a towering height of 141m. Make additional stops at Spahats Falls and Dawson Falls. Barbecue dinner at a ranch within the park. Continue to Valemount and stop at Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies (3,954m). Check in at the hotel. Overnight in Valemount or Jasper, depending on the departure date of your trip. Jasper Inn & Suites Hotel 3* or similar (B-L)

Day 7Jasper

Spend a full day exploring Jasper National Park in all its splendour. Explore magnificent Pyramid Lake, then continue on to Medicine Lake, a spectacular natural site renowned for its wild landscapes. In the afternoon, enjoy a cruise on Maligne Lake. (B-D)

Day 8Jasper – Lake Louise (350km)

Depart for Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Stop at Sunwapta Falls and Athabasca Falls for a photo op. Continue along the icefields for one of the most scenic drives in all of North America. Stop for photos at Bow Lake and Bow Glacier, as well as Peyto Lake. Arrive near Lake Louise at the end of the day. The Crossing Resort 3* or similar (B-D)

Day 9Lake Louise – Banff – Calgary (210km)
