Day 1Montréal – Málaga

Flight to Málaga.

Day 2Málaga – Antequera (70km)

Airport pickup followed by a tour of this lively and friendly city, the capital of the Costa del Sol. Welcome drink followed by lunch. Head to Antequera in the afternoon and check in at the hotel for the next two nights. Enjoy free time and dinner on your own. Parador de Antequera 4* (L)

Day 3Granada (200km)

Excursion to Granada, the cultural capital of southern Spain. Explore the city and visit the cathedral and royal chapel. Tapas lunch, then guided tour of the Alhambra palace and the Generalife gardens. Return to the hotel then enjoy dinner. (B-L-D)

Day 4Córdoba (260km)

Travel to Córdoba, one of the oldest cities in Spain. Take a guided tour of the Mosque-Cathedral, then sample one of the city’s typical cakes. Lunch followed by a free afternoon to wander Calleja de las Flores (Flower Alley) in the Jewish Quarter. Continue to Seville and check-in at the hotel. Catalonia Santa Justa Hotel 4* (B)

Day 5Seville

Take a guided tour of the city centre followed by a stroll in the Santa Cruz district. Visit of the Cathedral and the Giralda Tower. Have lunch, then take a scenic tour along the Guadalquivir River. Return to the hotel and evening at leisure. (B-L)

Day 6Jerez de la Frontera – Cádiz (260km)

Depart for Jerez de la Frontera and visit the Royal School of Equestrian Art, known for its majestic Andalusian horses, followed by a show. After a seafood and paella lunch, head to Cádiz, a fortified city perched on a rock and surrounded by the sea. Stroll through the El Populo district (the historical centre of Cádiz), then Plaza de San Martin square, Plaza de las Flores square, and Cathedral Square. Day 8Seville – Setenil de las Bodegas – Ronda – Benalmádena (260km)

Set off for white villages to discover Setenil de las Bodegas, where houses were built under a large rock. Head to Ronda, the birthplace of bullfighting. Enjoy a typical regional lunch. Day 10Nerja – Frigiliana (160km)

Set off for the charming Andalusian town of Nerja, known for its authentic town centre and its famous viewpoint known as the Balcony of Europe. Visit the Nerja Caves and see remains of pottery and fascinating cave paintings dating back some 42,000 years. Continue to Frigiliana for lunch featuring local fare. Explore the beautiful landscapes of the Axarquía region north of Málaga, dubbed the Southern Pyrenees. Pass by typical olive groves, some more than a thousand years old. Explore picturesque villages and visit a 300-year-old house-turned-museum, where you’ll be served a welcome cocktail made from wine and local ingredients.
