Take a sightseeing tour of modern Madrid: Four Towers, Castellana Avenue, the bullring, Atocha station, and Gran Vía. Enjoy a tapas lunch before setting out for San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Take a guided tour of the San Lorenzo de El Escorial monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site steeped in the fascinating secrets of Spain’s royal past. Return to Madrid for dinner. (B-L-D)

Day 3Madrid – Toledo – Madrid (150km)

After breakfast, depart for Toledo, where Christians, Muslims, and Jews have coexisted for centuries, leaving behind a powerful cultural legacy.
