Day 1 Cairo

Arrive at the Cairo airport and transfer to the hotel. JAZ Pyramids Resort 4* or similar

Day 2Cairo

Stop at the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest museum dedicated to ancient Egypt, to view the treasures of Tutankhamun and the solar boats. Have lunch, then explore El Moez Street, an open-air museum of Islamic art. Wander through the bustling souks of Khan el-Khalili, the famous 14th-century bazaar brimming with crafts, jewellery, spices, and souvenirs. (B-L-D)

Day 3Cairo – Alexandria – Cairo (450km)

Head to Alexandria. Visit the Graeco-Roman Museum, showcasing the meeting of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman civilizations. Discover the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa. In the afternoon, visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the ruins of the Lighthouse of Alexandria and overlooking the Mediterranean. Head back to Cairo for dinner. (B-L-D)

Day 4Cairo

Explore the Giza Plateau, featuring the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and the Sphinx. Have lunch, then go to the necropolis of Saqqara, famous for the Step Pyramid of King Djoser. (B-L-D)

Day 5Cairo – Aswan

Transfer to the airport and fly to Aswan. Visit the Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and saved from the waters, then the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest ever carved. Board and have lunch on the ship. In the afternoon, take a felucca ride around the Nile islands. M/S Queen of Hansa 5* (B-L-D)

Day 6Aswan

Day 7Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu – Luxor

Sail to Kom Ombo and see the temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroëris, unique for its dual dedication. Enjoy lunch on board. Continue to Edfu and the Temple of Horus, one of the best preserved in Egypt. In the afternoon, sail to Luxor. (B-L-D)

Day 8Luxor – Valley of the Kings – Luxor

In the morning, take in the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon on the west bank. Have lunch, then visit the temples of Karnak and Luxor, dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, with the largest hypostyle hall in Egypt. (B-L-D)
