Engage on the right path

The transportation industry sets the pace of our lives, whether we are citizens or at the helm of a sector company. Yet, we are at a crossroads, knowing that 43%1 of Quebec's annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions come from transportation. 

Decisions must be made daily in a rapidly changing environment, often with limited budgets. 

So how do we combine sustained growth with the essential energy transition, often seen as costly and inaccessible? This is probably our greatest challenge, pushing us to act and do better.  

Moving from words to action 

Increasingly aware, people want companies to make better decisions. For the business community, decarbonization is now a prerequisite requiring the mobilization of significant resources and funds.  

But the commitment and social influence we can have as an organization will only resonate if we implement concrete actions to achieve this part of our respective missions.  

Infrastructure renewal and electrification are part of the solutions. CAA-Quebec has participated in the local development of Canada's first 100% electric tow truck, thus playing a pioneering role in the towing industry and adding to our electrifying fleet, one vehicle at a time.  

Exercising positive leadership 

The concrete commitment of our industry will also involve responsible stances and active participation in various consultation tables. Quebec taxpayers expect such bold leadership, driving transformation and efficiency, from organizations. 

The maintenance and restoration of roads, as well as the development of structuring public transit projects, are emerging as a major social undertaking. By representing our members on these transportation evolution issues, CAA-Quebec has the opportunity to positively influence decision-makers. With a clear desire to improve the offer, but also to develop a safe network for all, including active mobility. 

It is thus vital to rethink together the overall offer of our mobility and, above all, its financing. By combining their strengths
