They’re here: CAA-Quebec Travel and its partners arrive in Saguenay to talk travel!
CAA-Quebec Travel is embarking on its first-ever travel tour across Quebec, and Saguenay is the first stop. “It’s our turn to head out and meet the people who use our travel agencies. Along with our partners, we want to talk adventure and let them know what’s trending to provide inspiration for their next trip,” said Philippe Blain, CAA-Quebec Vice President of Travel Services.

“There’s a lot of information on the web and online shopping is getting better, but we think that going out to talk to people in 2019 will meet needs that can’t always be met online. Sharing knowledge and taking the time to chat about travel—especially the travel experience—that’s our goal,” said Mr. Blain.
From now to December 1, CAA-Quebec Travel and its partners will visit 7 regions.

Travel trends in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean
As winter approaches with a new year on the horizon, what are people in Saguenay looking for when it comes to travel? “Sunny destinations are always big! With direct flights from Bagotville to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico, sunshine is easy to find. That’s tempting when you know what winter’s like in the area,” said Mr. Blain.
Sunny destinations are popular, but Europe is also trending. Spain, Greece, and Portugal are increasingly popular, whether for summer holidays or long stays. “But the destination isn’t the only thing on people’s minds. They’re also seeking new experiences. That’s especially clear among young people, who are willing to spend more for the trip of a lifetime,” added Mr. Blain.
The tour continues!
From October 6 to December 1, the CAA-Quebec Travel Event will bring our experts and some 20 travel industry partners to six other regions to meet travellers, answer their questions, and help them plan their next trip.
