Quebec travellers set their sights even further

Published on November 22, 2019

Quebecers are less and less interested in taking a three-hour road trip to catch a plane, and even choose where they want to go based on non-stop destinations they can fly to from Quebec City, according to CAA-Quebec’s travel counsellors, who invite travel enthusiasts to come and meet top industry specialists on Sunday.

The CAA-Quebec Travel Event is a brand new initiative that gives you an opportunity to chat with CAA‑Quebec travel experts and representatives from some of the biggest names in the industry to help you plan your next trip. It will be held November 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. What’s in store: expert advice, the hottest destinations, presentations, travel accessories, contests, and even discounts on your next trip! It’s a golden opportunity to check out inspiring destinations, learn more about travel insurance, and get tips on how to get a visa or an international driver’s licence.

“When you meet people in person, you learn things about them that you wouldn’t learn otherwise—things that help you give them better advice. Sharing what we know and taking the time to talk travel—especially the travel experience—that’s our goal.”

Philippe Blain, Vice President of Travel Services, CAA-Quebec

Quebec travellers will be able to pick from array of presentations on exotic destinations like China, French Polynesia, and Mongolia. Find out what’s trending in cruises with experts on Celebrity Cruises and Oceania, or talk to representatives from Transat, Disney, and Air Canada Vacations, which will fly to tropical destinations from Quebec City for the first time this year.

Residents of the provincial capital love to head south in search of the sun and are also big fans of Disney, a destination that is becoming more and more popular with travellers everywhere. Europe rates highly too, for cruises and organized tours for French speakers.

The tour continues!

By December 1, the CAA-Quebec Travel Event will have brought our experts and some 20 travel industry partners to seven regions to meet travellers, answer their questions, and help them plan their next trip. Here are the upcoming events:
