Quebec City Electric Vehicle Show: Free EV inspections for visitors

Published on October 1, 2021

CAA-Quebec is inviting electric vehicle (EV) owners to have their vehicles evaluated free of charge at its EV Health Clinic, which will be open to visitors to the 2nd Quebec City Electric and Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle Show, October 1 to 3 at the ExpoCité Centre de foires.

The record is starting to show that electric vehicles are generally reliable. But they are not free of electronic faults that can go undetected if not diagnosed by professionals. Their 12-volt batteries also suffer natural deterioration that can make them harder to start.

Those are just some of the things that CAA-Quebec’s experienced technicians will be checking on every electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle that comes their way during the three-day show. Using specialized equipment and a rigorous analysis grid, they will provide EV owners with a detailed picture of the health of their vehicle, regardless of its age.

Visitors to the show who are interested in having their vehicles checked need only stop by the CAA-Quebec booth across from the CAA-Quebec Foundation Conference Centre and obtain a pass for the clinic, which will be conveniently located on Rue de l’Exposition at the north end of the Exhibition Centre.

“Inspecting an EV requires precise expertise. Our EV Health Clinic at the Quebec City Electric Vehicle Show will give you a good idea of what needs to be done on your vehicle before you head to your preferred garage for service or repairs.”

EV information you can trust

CAA-Quebec will be joining with the sixty or so exhibitors at the show to inform the public about all aspects of buying and driving an EV. Visitors will be able to talk to CAA-Quebec advisors at the booth and attend lectures by CAA-Quebec experts on the myths and realities of EVs, how to buy a used EV, and the tangible benefits of EV eco-driving.

Learn all about our electric mobility offer—and maybe win a prize!

CAA-Quebec has great news for EV-owning members: big discounts on the purchase of a home charging station from its partners Leviton and HydroSolution. Learn the details of this offer by stopping by CAA-Quebec’s booth. It will also be an opportunity to find out about all the services available to EV and plug-in hybrid drivers, from roadside assistance to mobile charging and vehicle inspections.

Visitors will also be able to enter a contest for a chance to win a Leviton charging station, a CAA-Quebec membership, or a 12-volt battery charger, which is very practical to have for both EVs and gas models. Just answer a few fun questions, such as how many episodes of CAA-Quebec's Sans détour podcast series on electric mobility have been played. Hint: all the answers will be right in front of them at the booth!

$5 off for members

As a bonus, CAA-Quebec members will receive $5 off per primary membership simply by presenting their membership card at the Show box office or by entering the promotional code 105X when purchasing tickets online.
