Consumer automotive information: CAA-Quebec now in 6 newspapers!

Published on May 3, 2019

CAA-Quebec and Groupe Capitales Médias (GCM) have joined forces to answer consumers’ questions about automobiles.

Each Monday since the end of February, GCM’s newspapers (Le Droit, Le Nouvelliste, Le Quotidien, Le Soleil, La Tribune, and La Voix de l’Est) have featured articles by CAA-Quebec Automotive Advisory Services experts in their AUTO sections (digital and paper for Le Soleil). The articles fall into three categories:

Here are some of the practical questions our experts have answered:

  • What do “green” plates for electric vehicles mean?
  • Is premium gas better for your vehicle?
  • Do you really need to have your brake discs cleaned each spring?
  • Is synthetic oil actually better? I’m planning to sell my car. How much should I list it for?
  • Ford has just released a new model. Would it be a good option for me?

Our experts answer tricky questions that may have crossed your mind. Now CAA-Quebec members and all GCM readers can benefit from insights from our objective Automotive Advisory Services experts on a range of topics related to consumer vehicles.

“This partnership means we can provide our approximately 1.7 million readers with practical content that addresses real day-to-day concerns,” said Gilles Carignan, Head of Digital Content at Le Soleil and Groupe Capitales Médias. “It also gives us an opportunity to interact directly with our readers. In this technology-driven era, conversations with readers give a personal dimension to our work as journalists, and that makes us very proud.”

It’s your turn to ask questions!

You’re invited to send your questions to auto@gcmedias.ca. They’ll help guide the conversation so you see the type of content that interests you most.

“This partnership is a great opportunity to fulfil our advisory role vis-à-vis our members and the public on topics of interest,” said Sophie Gagnon, Vice-President of Communications and Public Affairs at CAA-Quebec. No matter whether a car is electric or not, or used for carpooling or not, our goal is help inform the public by sharing automotive expertise so that people are smarter consumers and our association represents true value in their eyes.”
