Your CAA Dollars are valid as long as you’re a member. There’s no deadline for redeeming them.

We’re constantly working to make the Rabais Dollars CAA program as advantageous as possible. We strive to provide all members the very best, and our program is changing to meet your needs, so you always get more out of your membership.

Enrolling in the program

The Rabais Dollars CAA program is a rewards program offered by CAA-Quebec exclusively to members in good standing. The program provides a number of advantages at CAA-Quebec and many of its partners. It has two components:

  • The discount component, wich provides instant discounts and other rewards from CAA-Quebec and participating partners, both in stores and online

  • The CAA Dollars back component, wich allows members to earn CAA Dollars at CAA-Quebec and participating partners, both in stores and online

Note that some participating partners may offer both an instant discount and CAA Dollars Back.  For detailed information of promotional offers, see the Rabais Dollars CAA section. Promotional offers may be modified periodically.

The program is one of the rewards of being a CAA-Quebec member. If your membership is in good standing, you are automatically enrolled in the Rabais Dollars CAA program. So all you have to do is become a CAA-Quebec Member.

Participation in the Rabais Dollars CAA program is free to members as long as they pay their CAA-Quebec membership fees. It is one of the many rewards you receive with your membership.

The Rabais Dollars CAA program is one of the rewards of being a CAA-Quebec member. As long as you are a member, you cannot really unenroll. But if you don’t want to take advantage of the program, simply don’t present your membership card at participating partners. You will not get any discounts and will not earn any CAA Dollars.

CAA-Quebec is committed to respecting and protecting your personal information and using it only for the purposes for which it was collected, in accordance with our confidentiality rules. For more information, please read our Privacy Policy.

Earning CAA Dollars and getting discounts

There are two ways to earn CAA Dollars.

You earn them every time you present your membership card and make an eligible transaction at a participating partner that offers CAA Dollars.

You can also earn CAA Dollars by making purchases online via the Rabais Dollars CAA section.

Conditions apply in each case. You must comply with these conditions to be able to earn CAA Dollars.

You cannot earn CAA Dollars on the following products and services: travel insurance, tickets to attractions (e.g., La Ronde, Niagara Falls, MarineLand), gift cards, prepaid cards, international driving permits, automobile inspections (Maxi Route, Maxi Route Hybrid and Electric, or Express Route), child car seat installation and verification, school safety patrol material (e.g., badge, vest, belt, brochure, logbook, certificate, member card, guide), vehicle registration and driver’s licence transactions, donations made to the CAA-Quebec Foundation, miscellaneous fees (e.g., administrative, postal, handling), as well as various applicable taxes.

You get discounts by presenting your membership card at participating partners that offer instant discounts to CAA-Quebec members.

You can also get an instant discount by entering your membership card number when you make a purchase from the Rabais Dollars CAA section.

Conditions apply in both cases. You must comply with them to get the instant discount.

To be eligible to earn CAA Dollars or get discounts from program partners, you must be at least 14 years old, since that is the age at which you can be an additional member on a primary member’s account.

You can start earning CAA Dollars and getting discounts from program partners as soon as you receive your membership card.

No. CAA Dollars and discounts from program partners are rewards provided to CAA-Quebec members only while their membership is active.

No. If you don’t present your CAA-Quebec membership card at the beginning of the transaction, you can’t earn CAA Dollars or get a discount later. It is your responsibility to present your valid membership card in order to earn CAA Dollars or get a discount from CAA-Quebec or its partners.

As a member in good standing, you can see how many CAA Dollars you have in your account at any time by:

  • Visiting your Online Account

  • Checking the CAA Mobile app

  • Looking at your CAA-Quebec or Rabais Dollars CAA newsletter

  • Calling CAA-Quebec at 1-800-686-9243

Note that the balance shown may differ from the actual balance if recent transactions have not yet been recorded.

Yes. Additional members can see the total balance of all members (primary and additional) on an account.

All members (primary and additional) on the account agree to share their transaction and other data, including the personal data in that account.

If you present your membership card at a partner, your CAA Dollars will be added to your balance within a variable period of time, depending on what tool the partner uses to send the information to CAA-Quebec. It usually takes about 30 days.

If you believe that your CAA Dollars account balance does not reflect the number of CAA Dollars you should have, please contact CAA-Quebec. Supporting documents may be required.

All CAA Dollars earned by additional members linked to a primary member are recorded in the primary member’s account, as the primary member is responsible for paying for the membership of all members on the account. Therefore, when an additional member makes purchases by presenting their CAA-Quebec membership card the CAA Dollars are recorded in the primary member’s account.

The primary member and any member on the primary member’s account may use earned CAA Dollars, regardless of who actually earned them.

The primary member is responsible for paying for the memberships of all members on their account. As a result, CAA Dollars remain in their account at all times, even in the event of divorce, separation, or any other dispute that may arise between the primary member and an additional member.

However, the primary member may request that CAA Dollars be transferred to their former spouse if the former spouse decides to become a primary member following their separation.

Please note that all members in good standing linked to the primary member’s account may use earned CAA Dollars at any time.

CAA Dollars remain in the primary member’s account at all times because the primary member is responsible for paying for the memberships of all members on their account. However, at the primary member’s request, CAA-Quebec can transfer CAA Dollars to another primary member account.

Upon the death of the primary member, the membership and the CAA Dollars in the account are automatically allocated to the additional member(s) on the account. If there are no additional members on the account, the primary member’s membership and the CAA Dollars earned may be transferred to the person designated by the estate and will be subject to the same conditions for earning and redeeming them. Such a request must be submitted to CAA-Quebec no later than 12 months following the date of death and satisfactory supporting documents must be provided. The designated person must be a CAA-Quebec member for the transfer to take effect.

Each CAA Dollar is equivalent to $1 Canadian.

No, there is no limit to how many CAA Dollars you can earn.

CAA-Quebec is not responsible for any promotional offer that is no longer in effect.

Redeeming CAA Dollars

Your CAA Dollars will first be used to pay for the renewal of your CAA-Quebec membership and options for the coming year. The balance of CAA Dollars, if any, will be used to pay for the renewal of any additional members’ memberships.

To do this, CAA-Quebec will automatically use the CAA Dollars that are in your Account approximately 45 days before the membership expiration date. Your CAA Dollars balance after renewal will appear on your renewal notice. If you believe that your actual CAA Dollars balance does not match what is in the renewal notice, you must notify us within 30 days of receiving your renewal notice.

As a CAA-Quebec member (primary or additional), you may use your CAA Dollars balance to pay, in whole or in part, for any of the products and services (plus applicable taxes) offered at the CAA-Quebec Contact Centre or at a CAA-Quebec Travel Centre (including, but not limited to, an item, gift card, travel package, airline ticket, insurance, hotel reservation or car rental, the addition of options to your Member Account or the payment of a membership for someone else). Please visit the Rabais Dollars CAA section to see all your options.

A list of all CAA-Quebec Travel Centres appears in the Contact Us section of our website.

The product or service you want to purchase with your CAA Dollars may no longer be available at the time of the transaction. We will inform you of its expected date of availability, if applicable, otherwise we will try to offer you a product or service of equivalent quality, or we will suggest that you purchase a different product or service.

Eligible products and services may be modified at any time without notice and CAA-Quebec is not responsible for products and services that are no longer available.

No, CAA Dollars cannot be redeemed for cash.

No, there is no limit to the number of CAA Dollars that can be redeemed in a single transaction.

The CAA Dollars redeemed may not exceed the sum of the CAA-Quebec transaction to which they are applied. You keep any excess CAA Dollars to use them on a future transaction, so you don’t get cash back.

No, CAA Dollars do not expire. As long as your CAA-Quebec membership remains in effect, you keep your CAA Dollars.

If you do not renew your CAA-Quebec membership, you may transfer your CAA Dollars to another CAA-Quebec member in good standing, provided that the transfer request is made no later than 12 months after your membership expiry date.

When you return merchandise, the CAA Dollars you earned at the time of purchase will be deducted from your total CAA Dollars.

When you get a credit or refund from a participating partner, the CAA Dollars you earned at the time of purchase will be deducted from your total CAA Dollars.

When you use your CAA Dollars to make a purchase and it is cancelled, the CAA Dollars you used will be put back into your account. They cannot be refunded in cash.

Your CAA Dollars will be transferred to the other CAA club no later than three months after CAA-Quebec receives written notice from you indicating your transfer to another province, unless all your CAA Dollars have been redeemed for CAA-Quebec products and services.

In the event your CAA-Quebec membership card is lost or stolen, it is your responsibility as the member to immediately notify CAA-Quebec. Any CAA Dollars you have earned will stay in your account and a new membership card will be sent to you.

CAA-Quebec cannot be held responsible for the use of CAA Dollars between the time the CAA-Quebec membership card was lost or stolen and the time CAA-Quebec was notified.

If the Rabais Dollars CAA program ends or is suspended and you still have CAA Dollars in your account, you will have one year from the end of the program to redeem them for products and services offered by CAA-Quebec.

After that, all CAA Dollars will be automatically cancelled
