Itinerary
- Day 1: Montréal - Zagreb
Fly to Zagreb.
- Day 2: Zagreb
Airport pickup and check-in at the hotel. Antunovic Hotel 4* (D)
- Day 3: Zagreb
Take a guided (outdoor) tour of Zagreb starting in upper town at St. Mark’s Square to see the multicoloured church roof, Sabor Palace, Banski dvori (government seat), the Lotršcak Tower, and the stone gate. Ride the funicular into the lower town to explore Ban-Jelacic Square and the pedestrian walkways. (B)
- Day 4: Zagreb – Opatija (174km)
Travel to Opatija and check in at the hotel. Spend the rest of the day as you please in this magnificent seaside resort. Adriatic Hotel 3* (B)
- Day 5: Opatija – Pula – Rovinj – Opatija (295km)
Head to Pula for a guided tour, including the famous Roman amphitheatre, the Temple of Augustus, and the Arch of Sergii. Continue to Rovinj and enjoy some free time to explore this stunning natural site with abundant pines and olive trees. Next head to Motovun to admire some of the best-preserved medieval walls in Istria and spend some free time in the village before returning to Opatija. (B-D)
- Day 6: Opatija – Plitvice (164km)
Go on a guided tour of Plitvice Lakes National Park: 16 lakes spread over nearly 8km, featuring an incredible palette of blues and greens that pop against the backdrop of wooded mountains. Check in at the hotel. Palcich Hotel 4* (B-D)
- Day 7: Plitvice – Zadar – Trogir (248km)
Leave for Zadar, jewel of the Croatian coast that blends historical charm and modernity. Take a guided walking tour of the old town to uncover its hidden treasures, including the amazing sea organ that channels ocean waves into music. Continue to Trogir, a charming medieval town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its cobblestone streets, Venetian palaces, and St. Lawrence Cathedral. Enjoy a sightseeing tour and check in at a local hotel. Trogir Palace Hotel 4* (B-D)
- Day 8: Trogir – Split – Trogir (54km)
Head to Split, a major administrative, historical, and religious centre of Croatia. Take a guided tour of Diocletian’s Palace, one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in the world. Tour the old town and then explore at your leisure. Return to the hotel. (B-D)
- Day 9: Trogir
Free day or optional ($) catamaran trip to the island of Hvar, “Queen of the Dalmatian islands.” (B)
- Day 10: Trogir – Dubrovnik (240km)
Set off for Dubrovnik, dubbed the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” famous for its medieval ramparts, marble streets, and rich Venetian heritage. (B-D)
- Day 11: Dubrovnik
Take a guided tour of the old town of Dubrovnik with its spectacular sea views and unique atmosphere blending history, culture, and Mediterranean elegance. Spend the rest of the day as you please. (B)
- Day 12: Dubrovnik
Free day or optional excursion ($) to Montenegro. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner in Dubrovnik. (B-D)
- Day 13: Dubrovnik - Montréal
Transfer to the airport and fly back to Montréal. (B)
