Governance and Board of Directors

Founded in 1904, CAA-Quebec is a not-for-profit organization registered with the Registraire des entreprises under the name Automobile et Touring Club du Québec. The organization also oversees several other entities under its responsibility: CAA-Quebec Travel, CAA-Quebec Auto and Home Insurance Inc., 4 driving schools in the Montréal region, and the CAA-Quebec Foundation. All revenue generated by these entities is returned to the benefit of CAA-Quebec, the not-for-profit organization.

The Board of Directors and Executive Committee oversee the governance and development of the organization and the Foundation, for the benefit of members and the community.

CAA-Quebec’s directors: Experienced leaders!

Like any strong board of directors, CAA-Quebec's Board is mandated to oversee the organization's governance and supervise management's activities, on behalf of and in the interest of its members. It also ensures the organization's financial viability, in keeping with its mission.

Each director is first elected for an initial three-year term and may be re-elected for subsequent terms. 

Here are the Board’s responsibilities. 

  • Monitor performance results across the entire organization and adopt governance practices.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of strategic and business plans.
  • Appoint the President and Chief Executive Officer and support them in their responsibilities.
  • Validate compensation structures and methods.
  • Evaluate its own functioning, measure its effectiveness, and contribute to achieving the board directors’ objectives.

Glenn Kelly started out as an engineer in the energy sector. Today, he is a talented manager and leader who thrives on the challenges involved in business development.

A seasoned manager in financial services, insurance and consulting services, she is an experienced leader in business development, human resources and business transformation.

With wide-ranging experience acquired as a senior manager with companies such as ABB, Camso, CGI, and Tarkett, he is keenly aware of how information technology can serve the interests of his clients and customers.

Nicole Bilodeau, a fellow chartered accountant of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec and active member of several business networks, is an experienced manager who has demonstrated her leadership in the field of higher education for the last 15 years.

A passionate retail and customer experience expert, Ms. Catherine Dagenais was the first female CEO of the SAQ (Société des alcools du Québec). An energetic and committed leader, she will bring such benevolent and ambitious attention to the future development of CAA-Quebec.

Passionate about travel and the outdoors, this product development and marketing specialist leverages her sense of innovation and business acumen to benefit various organizations in the tourism sector. Her greatest strength lies in her ability to unite teams around a common mission, such as serving our members.

A lawyer and expert in business law, she is a valuable ally for CAA-Quebec, reminding the organization to always look at both sides of the equation before moving forward.

As a Fellow Chartered Professional Accounted, a certified expert in corporate governance, and a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Topping brings extensive experience in digital business and innovative governance to CAA-Quebec. 

A certified corporate director, Mr. Mourette brings to CAA-Quebec a wealth of experience drawn from the financial and information technology sectors, especially with global consulting firms. A seasoned administrator and high-level manager, he will be supporting CAA-Quebec in the development of a business vision, while pursuing a performance-driven, results-oriented approach to strategic challenges.

With her strong background in management, marketing, operations and business development, combined with her human approach, she brings an inspiring vision for the growth and evolution of CAA-Quebec.

Annual general meeting of CAA-Quebec members

In accordance with its obligations, CAA-Quebec holds its General Meeting once a year around mid-April, alternating between the cities of Québec and Montréal.
